Know their interests and hobbies

Persuade them to use technology

Teaching seniors to use the latest technology in Broward County is also a great way of making them involved In Aging In Place. Consequently, encourage them to explore new technologies in Broward County and make them comfortable with them to enable them to find community and entertainment online.

Ask them to express

Promote open communication with your elderly loved one, encouraging them to share their stories and feelings. Affirming their expressions can help reinforce their sense of self-worth and achievements.

If they identify as or show interest in the LGBTQIA+ community, it’s crucial to offer your support and affirmation, regardless of whether this is a new revelation or a long-held identity. The expression of support and affirmation from loved ones is equally important for older individuals as it is for the younger generation.

Be patient

No doubt that it is important to keep your loved one or seniors active or socialized, but at the same time, you also need to be patient with them. This becomes all the more true if they are dealing with any illness or have witnessed some loss recently.

In such a situation, prefer to give them their time so that they can set their own pace to be comfortable with and the one from which they can grow.

Always assist
